Create an LLC? Property rentals?

So I am starting out. I have three homes that I rent out. I am thinking of opening an LLC. I have looked online at the benefits and it looks like it’s the right move, but am not too familiar with the process? Any advice? Also, all of my properties are under my name. Do I need to put the LLC as the property owner to do this? Any help would be great
