Demographic Shifts Information

Hi All,

I'm just starting out in Charlotte, NC house hacking and looking to further educate myself in real estate while I figure out my next move.  I'm considering house hacking again in Charlotte and I also have connections in Michigan and the price to rent ratios seem more reasonable on the surface.  On the flipside I've also been seeing lots of people moving out of Michigan which has me more cautious.  What are some good sources to view population/demographic shifts and maybe some books that talk about the shifting composition of certain cities?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jack
