Arsenic a Huge Problem?
Hi BP'rs!
Has anyone have experience with property that uses well water with has arsenic? I'm in contract with a 4-unit multi-family property in NH and this is the case. It has a very good water treating system in the basement of Unit 1 that pipes through all the units into each kitchen. It's a redundant system to guarantee arsenic is always tested and treated in a duplicate tank. Each kitchen has a separate tap for drinking. It hasn't been an issue with current long term tenants with children but I'm concerned how this would deter new renters. Couple of other areas of concern.
1. The tap is only in the kitchen. What about bath sink? Brushing teeth?
2. The system is in the basement of one unit. The water people have to service this 4x per year inconveniencing the tenant. Not an issue with current but might deter new tenants for that unit.
Anyone else see other areas of concern?
Thanks,
Steve
