Wayne Gray coaching

I have been wanting to get into realestate for some time now. The only real estate I have is a personal house I had the privilege of going to a Tony robins event yesterday, and also listen to a man named Wayne Gray. He pitched his 3 day coaching seminars for a $1000 for 2 people. A friend of mine and I split the price and are scheduled to go and October. After I signed up I went online and found nothing but bad reviews on the guy, and his coaching. He pitched the fact that he would fund deals up to a million dollars. This was based on quick flips, which is all I am intrested in at this point. Is this a scam? Should I try to get my money back? I liked that idea of financial assistance, as I don't have much free cash to invest. I have a child on the way in a mortgage to pay, so this is what pulled me in period what does everyone think?

If you have little cash reserves, try to get your money back. If you can't, chalk it up to an expensive weekend of education and do your due diligence before pulling out your checkbook in the future. I've never even heard of Mr. Gray but there is not shortage of "coaches" in this industry so if he can't show you his last 5 closing statements from the last 30 to 60 days, he's not practicing what he preaches.
