Convincing significant other to invest in real estate

How did you convince you significant investing in real estate is a good move for you? I have been looking into real estate invest for a while. Recently I have taken big steps towards buying a rental property if I find the right one, but recently my significant other has voiced her concerns over things going negative and us losing everything. What did you do to convince your partner that this is a good move towards your financial future and that you don’t need an extra 10,000 in the bank before starting?
