How can you Rehab a house with Tenants

Hello everyone,

I had a question while listening to some of the podcast. The thing I can't figure out how you can rehab a building while tenants are living inside the property. For example, what would happen if I house hack a fourplex but there are two other tenants living there. What would you do? (Maybe like $40,000 worth of rehab).
