First time Investor (Looking for property in Upstate Albany Area)

New member here. I been listening to the podcast for a while now and been doing my homework/research on a few areas within Upstate New York. I was able to find a few homes that fit my budget (have 30K in savings) and looked reasonable. I was looking for a duplex roughly $150,000 or less for my first investment property. 

Has anybody here invested around the Albany area and have any advice? This property is less than a 10 minute drive from the SUNY Albany campus. Thank you in advance and hope to connect with some of you guys!
