How Do I Handle Buyers Calling, But Have No Properties?

So.. I keep hearing on the BP podcast "whenever you need help, hop on the forums!" So here I go...

And here I am! I'm going to be honest so I can paint the picture as to where I am as a new investor: I've marketed for buyers, practiced calculating ARV numbers so see how that works, and have searched for properties. I now have the ability to look at "tired" properties with a different eye!

I have a small list of buyers, but I currently don't have properties. I don't want to come off as an unreliable investor, but I don't have anything to offer. How should I handle this situation, while wanting to continue working with this potential future buyer? And is this sort of thing common?

I appreciate any and all feedback to my beginners dilemma! :)
