Hi everybody,

I finally set up my account here on BP. I'm really excited to be a part of the community. I have been lurking for some time, and have learned a lot so far. Thanks for a great forum!

A little background on myself. I'm 24 yrs old. I have been working in the banking industry for 4 yrs and counting. I've been interested and closely following the Phoenix real estate market for 2+ years now. Just when I feel like I am ready to take the plunge into real estate, I realize that there is another angle that I may be more interested in.

First I looked at cheap condos for an owner occupied residence that I would later turn into a rental..

Then I looked at "fixer upper" SFRs..

Now I'm looking at 4-plex's.

My mind keeps changing and I feel like I have very little direction on what is the best first move to make when it comes to real estate investing.

My long term goals would be to own a portfolio of 5-10 properties that all cash-flow enough to leave me some extra money on the side to begin flippers.

What are your guys thoughts? Anyone have any insight on a good route to take in the beginning in Phoenix?

I realize that I have a LOT to learn, but I am 100% motivated and dedicated to making that happen with time and hands-on experience.

Thanks!
