Past Sales Documents from County on Specific Property
I'm interested in a triplex and in an effort to get as educated as I can on it I went and looked at the county website for the document history on the property. I found two documents that stand out to me but I'm unsure If I'm understanding them correctly. Would someone be willing to help decipher these two:
1st Document:
Document Type: Mortgage
Recorded Date: 9-19-05
Grantor: ABC LLC
Grantee: Local bank
Consideration: $120,000.00
theres also parcel number, document number, recording fee
2nd Document
Document Type: Warranty Deed
Recorded Date: 9-19-05
Grantor: Jim Smith
Grantee: ABC LLC
Consideration: $70,000.00
theres also parcel number, document number, recording fee
The current owner told me he had purchased the property in 2005 and he owns ABC LLC so would this mean that the property was sold in 2005 for $70,000 and the owner took a $120,000 loan on it? I'm in the state Wisconsin.
