Hi I’m from Maryland... I would like to venture into wholesaling... are there any major beginner steps I should take that would make starting a little easier?

Well wholesaling is tough for a newbie, but if you really want to try it you will need to find buyers and learn what they are looking for in terms of criteria.  After that you need to somehow find off market properties, this can be done driving for dollars but that can be incredibly time consuming and in some markets not very effective.  Or you can pay for online or direct mail advertising, which can get expensive fast with no guarantee of return.
