Local REIA and coaching...

I am a real estate agent looking to jump into the investment side and read BP and took the advice of going to my local REIA. I also went to Tan Merrill's awful 3 day workshop and it was a waste of time and money. The information they give you is freely available and I got more out of reading BP than their sales pitch masked as a ‘workshop'. I thought their mastery student program was BS for $20,000 but my local REIA's president has a inner circle program she was pitching for $24,000!!!

I am not asking for mentors like the forum rules says.

It just seems like these mentors making money on their exclusive groups instead of actually doing deals. If I’m wrong please share your thoughts.
