Is 2018 a good year to start in the property management?

Is 2018 a good year to start in the property management / rental properties? I have not even started on this, I am reading books, watching youtube, and now discovered this form to learn.

for someone just starting out. is it a good year to do so? I hear it is a sellers market. would it be hard to get a deal right now? is the house pricing to high or at its peak?
