How to break into Real Estate Investing
Hello BP family,
I am new to the BP forum and have questions regarding my first career move. I just graduated with my Bachelor's in Accounting and have internship experience with a Big 4 firm. This firm has taken an interest in me and I have the opportunity to get my Master's in Tax paid for and a full time offer in a role supporting their Fed Tax practice.
However, recently I interviewed with a growing real estate company for a position as a property accountant where I'll get exposure to many different areas.
My end goal is to be self employed with rental properties. My question is: Would it be better for me to get the free degree and pursue the CPA first, or take the real estate accounting position that will more directly relate to my dreams of being a real estate investor?
