Assembling a Team for New Investor...?

Howdy BP!!

I'm sure this question can help out a lot of newbies as well!

So I've been doing a lot of reading and just learning as much as I can about REI. A common theme I see is to pick a solid team. That's great! However I'm confused to as who is really necessary for people that are starting out in real estate. For my personal situation, I am looking to purchase a multi-family property using an FHA loan (I'm meeting two lenders tomorrow!).

Some examples:

  • Lawyer
  • Property Management
  • Title company
  • Appraiser
  • Tax accountant
  • Stager
  • Interior Decorator
  • General Contractor
  • Architect
  • Landscaper

Obviously some of these are not necessary but when will they be? I was thinking for my situation, all I really need is a real estate agent. I plan to do my own property management, repairs, etc. However do I need a lawyer to review all the documents during purchasing property? Or is it wise to get a tax accountant to find all the ways to save money once I've purchased my first property?

Basically my question is, as a first time newbie who plans to pretty much do everything on his own, who do I need or is highly recommended for the long haul?
