Pointers on first RE deal

Hey all! First post here and generally new to the real estate game but I've been studying how it all works for what feels like eternity. I've settled on I'm going to get started by wholesaling and assigning contracts as it in theory doesn't require any real money down and is generally free of risk. So with that in mind I want to start making deals but I don't know where to look. Most suggestions for marketing require money I don't have to invest yet. If you have any suggestions for free or low cost marketing ideas I'm all ears. Please take it easy on me lol.
