Meeting with a successful investor for advice

Tonight myself and my potential partner will be meeting with a very successful real estate investor to basically interview him to find out what steps he took to attain so much success. This may be an absolutely ridiculous question and I’m probably overthinking it, but should I bring something to jot down notes or keep it completely casual?
