Real Estate Investing vs. Starting a Business?
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to build my wealth to fund my travel and philanthropic dreams, help my parents when they get older, and retire comfortably. I’m researching which makes more sense for me: Real Estate Investing (House Hacking and Investing in Multi-Family Rental Properties) or Starting an Online Business (Millionaire Fastlane style: search for a problem to solve and start a company around that).
This video called How to Research Any Topic outlines a simple approach to help make informed decisions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPbEznrOGR8
Applying what I learned in that video, I’m looking for BiggerPockets members with strong opinions in favor of Real Estate Investing, especially in Multi-Family Rental Properties.
More specifically, I have these questions for the community:
+ Why is Real Estate Investing in general the best wealth vehicle?
+ Why is your niche in Real Estate Investing (even if it’s not House Hacking/Multi-Family Rental Properties) the best?
+ What are a few things a newbie should consider before investing in your niche?
+ What are a few things about your niche that you wish you knew when you starting out?
I appreciate any perspective you have to offer.
Thanks everyone!
