Relocating to Salt Lake City
Good Afternoon,
This Summer I'll be separating from the U.S. Navy and moving to SLC. My plans are to use the Post 911 GI bill and attend the U in the fall. I'm hoping to buy a house hack property but I'm running into loan qualification issues. The VA will award me a monthly housing stipend of $1600.00 as long as I attend school full time. Traditional lenders seem unable to use the stipend as income on the loan calculations. So I'm reaching out on here for non traditional routes, investment partners, and simply advice on Salt Lake City.
Thank you,
Jacob
