I am a newbie from San Antonio, TX
Hey everyone,
My name is Andrew and I am brand new to the world of real estate investing. I am someone who is buried in debt and barely making it paycheck to paycheck. From what I have learned about REI, there is money to be made. This is not a "get rich quick" scheme but rather a legitimate business that requires certain tools/knowledge/resources.
I have been to a few REI seminars and seen various REI courses here and there. However, from what I have seen and heard, I feel I am better off finding most of the same info for free both at my public library and on the Internet (including this site).
My whole purpose for posting is basically to find another mentor in the San Antonio, TX area. Someone who has plenty of experience in REI including wholesaling, flipping, and/or rentals properties. Someone who can teach me how to make money in this business. I have some questions that I hope someone would be so kind to address: is it true that I can make money in the REI even with no money/credit? I have come across the term "birddogger." Is it true that I could make money by scoping out properties and relaying this info to an investor/agent? Is there good opportunity for me to be a birddogger in the San Antonio (and surrounding) area? I highly appreciate any and all feedback
