Best Places to be Owner or Owner/Occupants in Savannah, GA?

Hi Everyone,

I am a 25 year old, soon to be Doctor of Physical Therapy, and applying heavily to outpatient clinics in the Savannah, GA and surrounding areas and looking for a great spot (safe, homey, and reasonable) to begin my home ownership, first owner/occupant experience, or rental properties. What are the best areas around there to invest and/or live? Ideally would love to be as close to the water as possible, but open to anything! Thanks in advance for everyone's help and advice! Looking forward to getting more involved with Bigger Pockets as time goes on!
