HUD foreclosure investing
Hello fellow members,
I am new to the real estate investing world. A little background is I live in a neighborhood of mainly older generations. As life takes it's natural course I see houses in this neighborhood going for sale. The most recent is a HUD foreclosure from a reverse mortgage. I have the following questions. 1. The house needs some major repairs (sewer line replacement) so I'd need to get it considerably below current listing price. Does HUD consider below list offers? 2. Being from a small midwestern town I have enough cash to finance but it would make the repair issues a real burden on the bigger pockets. What are some ideas on financing? I appreciate your time and hope to officially be a real estate investor soon.
