Want to owner-occupy duplex. Financing halves sold separately.

I am wanting to owner-occupy a duplex for my first investment. I found an owner that is selling the half of the duplex that they own. I am currently reaching out to the other owner to see if they would be willing to sell. Since I would be buying both halves separately, would I be able to somehow combine the loans into one FHA Owner-Occupied loan? Has anyone had experience with this process? Thanks!
