DMV meetup ... would you like to participate?

Question

We're planning to host a monthly investor meetup at our Washington, DC (Georgetown) office. There have been some discussions recently about a DC metro meeting but things have not materialized.

I'm going to make it happen.

The plan will be to have a brief presentation about an issue or topic of interest to investors followed by some Q&A and then general discussion and deal analysis.

If you are interested in attending and/or participating, please let me know. I will schedule the first session once we have critical mass.

Hello. I'd love to attend a meet up. I am a fairly new investor looking to network and make connections. I'd like to discuss acquiring funding for projects with little to no capital.

OK great so this is starting to take shape. So far we have a couple of lenders as well as some investors.

Here are some general ideas of topics we can cover in our first few sessions...

-Contracts -- important provisions to include, concepts to address

-Closing and holding costs

-Title issues affecting investors -- probate, foreclosures, tax sales

If we can get a few more committed to this we can set the first meetup date/time.
