Starting Out and Finding Good Resources for Learning

I would like to start real estate investing soon. My primary goal would be to invest for income. I have studied real estate extensively but have no experience. I was hoping you guys could provide me with links to other discussion groups, forums, or blogs as well. I would like to ask firstly, can you offer me any insight into real estate investing?  Your failures, successes, best moments, worst, and perhaps general advice?
