Help starting out in real estate investing

Hello, I’m 19 years old and looking to get my foot in the door with real estate/investing. I’m in a work-study program so half the year I’m in college, the other half working. I make decent money, but nowhere near the amount needed to purchase a house or anything that big. If anyone could offer any advice to a person such as myself, that’d be greatly appreciated.
