Property Management 101 Question
Does the location of your property mgmt company matter? If I live in one community and have rentals in another community 30 minutes away...should my prop mgmt co be located close to my rentals? Or close to my office in my community? ~ Jack

All things being equal, I would prefer the property management company near my rentals. Their maintenance people are probably closer so they can get there faster (and if you don't think time is of essence, you've never had a plumbing leak!). Also, when it comes to locating tenants for your rental and pricing the rent, they are probably a little more in touch with the community that they reside in.
That being said, 30 minutes doesn't sound like a huge distance. Here in Orange County, 30 minutes is practically across town.
