I would just like to see if anyone can shed some light on this matter. 

say I were to buy a house before the end of the year, today's date is 12/13/17, what kind of impact would I be looking at tax wise? would it be pos or neg? I'm asking because I have one that I'm waiting for a response on, and this is something I thought of last minute...
