Never know where a deal will pop up.

So I have been reading a lot from this site and getting my ducks in a row to get started with a rental property. My goal is to have at least one in 2018. So like a lot of people I do not have a huge amount of money to just drop into this. So with that in mind I took other people's ideas and posted ads on Craigslist looking for owner finance properties. I have not found a good deal yet but it seems like it could happen just based on some of the emails I have had. The really good news is that I did find a property on MLS and the numbers worked and I had a long discussion with my real estate agent and how our goal is to own enough rental properties to do this full time and how I have been looking for owner finance deals. Well she tells me that she owns a multi family with six doors and that she would be willing to owner finance in a few months. So just like that I have gone from maybe one single family home to a multi family in one discussion with my agent. Of course, nothing is done yet but the lesson I take is to just talk to people and always reply to emails from ads you post. You never know who has what and what they maybe willing to do.
