Local REI Group Meetings

Hey guys, I live in San Antonio and I’m just getting into investing, so I’m looking to join some local groups. I work weird hours during my work week so the only days I’m available to attend group meetings are on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. Any information would be very helpful. Thank you!

I hate to say, but if you dont know enough about a subject, or you are new, you probably need to get some information so that you dont make a costly mistake. Read books, network, or even pay $180 per year to join a group. Some are better than others. I still pay to be a part of Alamo Investors. Being in a group and having friends who do the same thing is worth thousands, way more than $180.

It has taken me 10 of the last 15 years to get to a good place in real estate investing. I do this full time. I have spent money on networking, education, marketing, websites and advertising. All of this was money well spent. I have now taught people how to become better investors or start to become an investor.

I have a free group. But one free group should not be the end all of your networking. Go to free groups, spend money on bigger groups, take $99 or $399 classes over the weekend. I just spent 300 on a class in Dallas a few weeks ago. You dont ever stop learning or spending money to network or gain more knowledge.

Spend money wisely, but dont be afraid to spend it to gain some knowledge. It is that knowledge that will help you earn so much more. After you have some knowledge, use it.
