Seeking experience. Bozeman montana

Hello, I am looking to get into investing in real estate in or around Bozeman Montana. I am going to start with a long term live in flip/brrr/ house hack. With funds tied up in that, and some debt I am trying to pay down, I would like to find someone to partner with and or just offer my help to someone on their investments in exchange for learning more, and gaining experience with investing. The most daunting aspect of investing for me is the processes of buying, selling, legal, funding, taxes,. Etc. I have dabbled in almost all areas of construction and time permitting (I work full time) could tackle almost any remodel task I believe. Exceptions being, tasks too large or when a licensed professional is required. I also know many people in different trades, and could manage/communicate knowledgeably with sub contractors. If you are on the other side of things with knowledge of the investing but not so much on the rehabbing let's talk.

Welcome Darren!  First, I'd encourage you to reach out and network with local investors. We've got experience and contacts in our own right and love to encourage new investors. For Bozeman I highly recommend: https://www.meetup.com/Bozeman-Investor-Club/. For Helena: https://www.meetup.com/Helena-REI-Network/. Send a message to each group, show up at a couple of events. This will certainly accelerate your efforts. Additionally, Biggerpockets is an excellent resource. Follow some blogs, educate yourself of the pros and cons of the most common rules of thumb, and practice property valuations. And, don't forget to reach out if you have any comments, questions, and concerns.

All the best,

Chris Hermance
