Looking for advice from agents

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice from all the agents out there who also invest. I am 36 and do not have a w2 job at the moment. I want to transition into investing full time. What do you think about becoming an agent to learn more about the industry. Can you give me an Idea of what average real estate agents earn starting out. I am used to making well above a six figure income. Am I dreaming to think I can earn close to that starting out as an agent or should I get another job in my current industry and transition from there?

@Brian Joseph Strongly recommend you actually focus on real estate investing first. Find an investor friendly Realtor that can pull comps, help acquire properties (if on MLS), and list your flips for you. It will take you several years of working REI full time before you justify the time and expense to become a Realtor. Years from now when you are able to really understand your market and REI then you will know if obtaining a license is justified. I only obtained my license because I had a great opportunity to help other investors achieve their financial freedom as well.
