Bigger Pockets Experiment: $10k in $10mil

Hello all,

I am looking for the best minds out there. By reading through the discussion boards I can tell that BP is full of extremely intelligent businessmen and philanthropist. I would like to volunteer myself to be the center of a real estate experiment. Lets see how fast the best minds on BP can turn $10,000 into $10,000,000. I am 24 yrs old I have Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing, that I received with Honors. I was also President of the Blue Key Honor Society. During my last semester of college, My father and I opened a wood-fired pizza and homemade ice cream restaurant in central West Virginia. Business is doing really well but I have big real estate goals that I know you all can help me achieve. To set the stage I have no college loans to pay off, I have no debt, and I currently live with my parents because our restaurant is right behind our house, so I have NO EXPENSES. We are starting with a completely clean slate and $10k cash. I have been doing a good bit of research on real estate investing and I even have a successful General Contractor as close childhood friend and future business partner. He specializes in constructing and remodeling residential properties and has helped me assess few properties already in the Charleston, WV area. I have the right tools, but what I need now is the knowledge, experience, and guidance......lets get to it!

Sincerely,

Stephen J. Miller

@Stephen J. Miller Sounds like to me you're on the right track, to add to your list, another thing you need is a deal, because without a deal, you can't make money. Your goals are ambition and they are long term goals but I would start small and try to turn that 10k to 20k. I always thought that anything that had to do with money was a doubling game. One double at a time, don't try to double to fast because you'll end up losing a double. Where you are in life, you are just 10 doubles away from 1m, thinking it about it that way, you're not that far at all.

What kind of investing are you trying to do? Passive? Active? If passive, I would find an experienced investor and let him give you an ROI. If you are trying to manage the jobs and be active, then all you need is a good deal and that 10k. If you choose option one, I am always looking to expand my circle of Private lenders as I grow my business. I try to teach as much as possible and answer as many questions as I can. Active investing is more experience but I jumped in feet first about 10 months ago and now I'm doing my 8th flip.

If you have any questions, let's connect. Maybe we can do some business together.
