Real Estate Ownership

Hello Everyone,

My wife and I run very small management company that manages 85+ units in Los Angeles. My wife, the property manager, started off managing a small 18 unit complex and has slowly gained additional units. Our company is in charge of managing the property from leasing to unit turnovers. Most property managing companies don't handle the dirty work, we do. The idea behind taking care of the maintenance and unit turnover is that we will have hands on training on tackling not only tenant issues but also property issues. Although we don't own these properties, we have taken great pride in making sure tenants and owner(s) are happy. We just finished two major renovations that needed painting, tile, drywall repair, plumbing repair, kitchen cabinets, and countertops. The process has been difficult  but we have gained so much knowledge throughout the process. We enjoy managing these properties, but we don't own them. Our goal is to invest in real estate but this time have some kind of ownership in the deal. My background is in banking and together with what my wife & I have learned during the last three years think we can take this journey to the next level.

If you have any feedback and how to get into real estate ownership in this hot market, please reach out. My wife & I are all ears.

Thank you for your time.

Franklin & Mimi
