Building credit from scratch... How Long/

Hey guys, so I currently have zero credit. Have yet to start building it. I am going to go on the loan with a partner later this year for my first property and want to have good enough credit to do my own deals sometime next year.

So my question is, will going on a mortgage loan be enough to build my credit or should I take other actions to build my credit as well?

And how much credit can I expect to build in lets say one year?

30% is keeping the card balance 30% or below. It's about what you owe, but also how you have that spread across the accounts. You're better off with a small balance across two or three cards versus a big balance on one single card.

There are several options like getting a card and only using it for gas. Getting a parent to add you to one of their cards as an authorized user, it instantly boosts your credit history.

Get a store card, and only buy a few items that you'll pay off every month.

Etc.
