Where to find analytics and how to interpret them

Hey everyone! Sorry if this had been asked already. I have looked but I wasn't able to come up with anything as I'm still getting used to the forum format.

Anyway, I was listening to BP pod cast #108 and the guest was talking about how people of a specific political orientation are statistically shown to spend more on rent. So this type of information is excellent! So my question then is how do I find and mine this type of data? Where are the numbers on age groups in my area or affiliations that would lend to insights on my market?

Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide!!
