Airbnb in upstate New York

My wife and I were looking to rent out our lake house and move into an apartment VERY close to work to illimate the commute and get rid of a car. Although, a month ago in an effort to access some capital to stat investing we opened up a HELOC and now realize we CAN'T rent out our house considering we'll be in default (rookie mistake). We could always close the HELOC but paying the closing costs to close it a month later is pretty dumb. Anyone out there have any advice on getting an AirBnB set up for our lake house to cover the mortgage while we rent closer to work? Is there a company or site out there that can walk you through most of the process? Also anyone know of any successful airbnb stories an hour or more outside NYC so i can gauge potential income and seasonal ups and downs?
