Real Estate Salesperson Course???
Hello,
I am new to the BiggerPockets community, I am 34 and have this crazy idea that I can also quit my job in 5 years if I strategically plan my rental portfolio. I am eager to learn about everything I need to get rolling with REI but seem to hear everywhere that I should get my license. I am about to pay $300 to register for an in-person course. Am I heading in the right direction? I will have everything in line "money wise" to start looking for properties by Mid Oct-Nov. Any advise?

Not sure how long your course is but if you can get the online one. They can be done much quicker and easier. Online test with open book. From my state, California, all I need to worry about is the state exam. Also, if you think you will be working for a certain real estate company you can ask them to pay for your courses in return working for them for a certain period of time. Good luck.
