First Investment Property

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here and love the expert advice given here. I would like to know which is best for a first investment for a newbie? I'm thinking a duplex, triplex or fourplex, my credit score is in the 700s. I was employed for 3 years prior to last June when I was laid off. I was unemployed for six months but now I'm gainfully employed making more money than I did on my previous job. Would I still qualify for an FHA Loan? I'm interested in investing primarily in Brooklyn, NY, I'm particularly interested in possibly acquiring properties with little to no money down.
