Temporarily living in my investment house

Hello,

We are planning on buying an investment house. The house is in great condition, it just need some cosmetic work. We are planning on living in the investment house for 4-6 months while we fix it up and then put it on the market for rent.

Do you know if legally, we can live in our investment property? Any advice will be highly appreciated!

Thanks!
