Driving for Dollars $$$

I am very new to real estate investing and I have chosen the niche of flipping houses to start out my career with. I have read some real estate books and listened to a number of the podcasts on Bigger Pockets and I have chosen the method to find my first deal using the "driving for dollars" method. I haven been doing this for about a month now and so far no luck.. I have found a few vacant houses that are in good neighborhoods in my area but I do not know what the next steps to take are with those vacant houses. Any kind of help or tips with driving for dollars or any other way to find my first deal would be great!! I'll appreciate any advice!
