Investing and License

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and had a question about getting my real estate license. I want to be an investor but I am now in the process of learning. I understand that I do not need my license, but I want my license to be on the safe side and the other stuff that comes with it. I noticed that a requirement to have an active real estate license is you need to be sponsored by a broker, can anyone tell me how this work if you are are an investor that just want to be able to list your properties on the MLS and have access to COMPS? I live in Texas by the way. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks
