What can a college student do while in college to prepare for a time when they actually have spare money to invest with?

There's a member who also posted today asking what value he can bring to a mentor at 19yrs old. Maybe you should follow his discussion as he seems to be headed in the right direction.
You're an adult, just like everyone else, who just happens to have the responsibility of school and maybe a job or two. Don't create limitations such as being in school. Just like any other adult you can start today, you can save money today, you can look into investing with low or no money down today, etc etc etc the list goes on.
The better question is what can't you do, and that can only be defined by you. Best of luck.
