Feeling Overwhelmed In Toronto, Ontario, Canada
What are some very simple, very doable things that I can do to get started? I've learned a lot, but I still seem to be stuck, frustrated, overwhelmed and feel like I'm drowning. Can anyone give me some very small steps to get me going. Some thing that will build my confidence. A Canadian perspective would be much appreciated.

Speak to a mortgage broker to see what you can qualify for.
Pick an area you might be interested in investing in. Have a realtor set you up for alerts for new listings in that area (perhaps limited by price, # of bedrooms, etc). Go to all open houses in the area. Go see all the houses in the area that you could be interested in. Get to know the area very, very well, and what things sell for, enough so that you can recognize a deal.
Go to meetups.
Just a few ideas that might help you get going.
