Contractor Responsiblity or Mine?

This is my 7th property but the first time we've done anything major like add a bathroom...is it reasonable to expect my contractor to re-paint wall that they messed up during the construction process or is that my responsibility?  On my previous projects, I've had to do NOTHING after the contractors left but perhaps wipe up some dust, but perhaps I was just lucky with those situations?

We added a bathroom and closet and they will (grudgingly) paint the interior of the bathroom but that's it...attached a photo of added closet - they left a bit of a mess.  How have you all usually handled situations like this?
