LLC vs. Personal Holding

Hello All,

New investor and BiggerPockets member here who is just getting started trying to lay the groundwork. I was curious about best practices in regards to where you should "hold" your rental properties? As personal assets or is it best to incorporate them under an LLC? In my experience, I have always been told to go the LLC route with any business venture in order to separate my personal assets from my business for liability reasons. Just wanted to get some feedback on what the "standard" is within real estate investing and how one direction might affect financing versus the other (if at all). Thanks in advance and I look forward to further discussions!
