Experience with David Lindahl's RE Mentor Boot Camp?

Question

Hi Everyone,

Thanks in advance. I so much appreciate all the help and advice from the BP community and am looking forward to giving back when I gain more investing experience.

My question: does anyone have any experience with David Lindahl's RE Mentor Bootcamp? I'm in the process of due diligence to figure out whether I should sign up for the $1500 course in Chicago this May.

I'm generally suspicious after attending the free intro course, but if the program follows through as advertised, I think it'd be a great step for myself and for my family. If you have any thoughts on the specific program, I'd greatly appreciate the feedback!

Thanks @Nick Patterson. I think your reasoning is sound, but as a new investor I'm short on people to work with. My background is in music, where you're only as good as the people you work with. (I assume this is the case in most endeavors)

I have a group of friends who are successful investors in Chicago, but I feel as though I don't offer them enough value (and connections) for the value they offer to me in return. Friendship is reciprocal. In this arena and in my own personal opinion, I'm not presently reciprocating enough.

This is something that attracts me to the boot camp. It's set up to offer the possibility of building relationships within the industry. I am, as stated, skeptical that the seed is the fruit.

This is like asking someone if they liked a movie, unfortunately, two people can walk away with a totally different outcome and view point.. the info at Dave's bootcamp is enough to get someone going and to make offers on up to 200 units and understand what they are doing the whole time, which is really all you need, there are many places, like bigger pockets to get all the information needed to accomplish this same goal, but like following a recipe in a cook book, what is better, the cook book with all the info you need to follow, or the chef standing there next to you making sure you use the exact precise ingredients?  if you cant afford to hire the chef, then buy the books, read them, use the precise ingredients, make mistakes, learn from them, move forward regardless... if you can spend a little on the bootcamp, then some more coaching etc.. it will still be useless if you don't take action...  do as much as you can with what you have available to increase your chances of success.. learn from as many people and just do it..

Hi, very happy to have stumbled across this post.  I heard the David Lindahl's RE Mentor Bootcamp advertisement this morning and to be honest it peaked my curiosity.

I'm eager to get started in real estate investing; however I'm confused at my starting position. I understand the term of OMP; however I haven't been successful. The books I read give you bits of information but nothing concrete.

I've attended a 3 day workshop with Fortunate Builders but the mentorship program was $35,000.

If I had that kind of money laying around, I'd be able to at least get started.

Any insight anyone can provide would be very helpful, I need to get started.

i’m relatively new to bigger pockets and I went today out of curiosity and I think my impression was the same is a lot of people here .   I would love to see some more posts of anybody who has attended this .   Additional feedback would be great I am out of town during the workshop that they have here in Denver. I was wondering if it’s worth it to try and sign up for another one I figure if I can avoid a $1500 mistake it’s worth the $1500 ??

@Brandon Seyferth I went a few months ago - a friend had an extra ticket and brought me along as a guest. Feel free to PM / e-mail me for more info... but overall, I would say it was informative but VERY sales-y... it felt like after every session there was another pitch for his coaching programs. You can read multifamily millions and get at least 40% of the actual information. But if it's Dave leading the training, he is a very nice dude and shares some pretty good nuggets of info.

I can't say from first hand expreince but I was at a meet up in Chicago once and a few of the folks took the course and thought it was instrumental in them achieving their success's

now these were established business folks with quite a bit of capital to work with.. which I think most who realistically want to get into MFR realize they need.
