How's Williamsburg Virginia ?

This week I recieved my admission and acceptance letter to the college of William and Mary for Fall 2017. I plan to spend the next four years there. 

I have been educating myself on REI for the past couple months, and am wondering if anyone in the Williamsburg, Virginia area has found a strategy that has proven to be more successful than others, so I can start to specialize and educate myself more specifically to that or like strategies.
