I want to buy I house, should I live in it?

Hi everyone! I am currently living in a rented apartment. I am considering to buy a house. The thing that I don't know is if it's better to buy the house and rent it to someone while I stay in the apartment as an investment. Or should I wait after I live in my own place before considering to buy a house for rent. Any piece of advice? Thanks in advance!
