But a house, live in & fix up...sell 2 yrs later.
Hi Everyone. This is my first post. I am completely new to this website/forum.
My husband is a very talented carpenter/remodeler who in my opinion is "wasting away working in a shop owned by other people." He does a ton of residential house remodels on the side.
We are looking to get into the real estate business. We were thinking about flipping houses, but we now I'm thinking about the possibility/option of buying a house, fixing it up while living there and selling it after 2 yrs in order to have tax free gains.
Can anyone give me any guidance of this option? Can someone point me to a website or book that will help me learn more about this topic?
Thank you!
